PROFILE

The great coffee celebration!

The ATHENS COFFEE FESTIVAL is a large celebration of coffee and its surrounding culture, addressed equally to industry professionals, home baristas and the general public!

The festival is a new institution, dedicated to coffee and its surrounding culture, with gastronomical, educational, entertainment and commercial content, modeled after similar European and American festivals. This year, the Athens Coffee Festival changes its date and philosophy, in order to reinforce its professional, as well as its festive character. In order to meet the needs of coffee businesses more effectively, the Athens Coffee Festival changes its date and will now be held at the end of September each year, in view of the winter season. This year, Technopolis-Athens, in Gazi, hosted the 2nd Athens Coffee Festival, between September 30 and October 2.

The aim is to attract as many sector professionals as possible, from every corner of Greece, along with a selection of major international visitors. At the same time, the festival will continue to appeal to the dynamic audience of consumers who are coffee aficionados and are interested in the latest trends and developments in the field of coffee.

For the first time ever, the coffee import, processing and trade businesses, as well as the businesses dealing in related equipment, had the opportunity to come into direct contact with the general public!

The festive character of the event is reinforced

Setting the festival atmosphere as a priority, along with prolonging the visitors’ stay in the festival, the organizing company gives exhibitors the opportunity to develop specially designed sitting areas in the outdoor spaces of Technopolis, where they will be serving their coffee and beverages. This year, general admission was just 4 euros per day—as much as the average price of a cappuccino—so that even more consumers who have not yet been introduced to the secrets of coffee were able to visit the festival.
