Athens Coffee Festival 2024: Coffee, Music, and Special Happenings… It Was the Most Exciting Event of September!
Saturday, September 28th, and the energy was high from early on. The music provided the perfect backdrop for the first coffees of the day, with En Lefko 87.7’s beloved DJ Sakis Tsitomeneas taking control of the decks, delivering the ideal music mix to keep our spirits up throughout the day.
In the afternoon, the Music Stage at the Athens Coffee Festival lit up when Penelope Anastasopoulou took the stage with her band ‘Mama Sings Fire.’ Alongside Ian Stratis, they gave us a strong dose of rock ‘n’ roll, kicking off the concert stage in the most fun way on the festival’s opening day! The stage turned into a musical whirlwind, leaving no one unmoved until the very last minute.
Sunday started on a high note, as the one and only Spyros Pagiatakis from En Lefko 87.7 “dressed” the atmosphere at the Athens Coffee Festival with powerful beats, making the energy at Technopolis even more vibrant.
A little later, the festival gained an international flair, with dance performances from the Indonesian Embassy transporting us to exotic places. The scene then changed… country, as the dance groups ‘Compañía Flamenco Soleá’ and ‘Chorokinisi’ took us straight to Andalusia. With every move, the dancers (Emily Chasioti, Alexis Lantavos, Despina Papargyriou, and Popi Panagopoulou) unfolded the soul of Flamenco in a performance filled with passion and dynamism.
As the sun began to set, the Athens Coffee Festival shifted to another dimension, and the stage caught fire when DJ CJ Jeff took over the decks. His House and Deep House beats elevated the atmosphere, making us dance like there’s no tomorrow!
Monday, September 30th, the last day of the festival, and Over 9000 took to the music stage at the Athens Coffee Festival with a skate punk vibe, filling the atmosphere with adrenaline in a live show that awakened our most punk side!
Eren Alioglou took obver the stage later in the afternoon for a Live percussion & electronic beats session, creating a magical scene. Eren left his unique mark on the music stage of the Athens Coffee Festival, offering the perfect finale to the coffee lovers’ favorite festival.
Three days, countless experiences. The Athens Coffee Festival 2024 gave us moments we’ll remember for a long time—music, coffee, dancing, and great company. A coffee event that had it all!
