We are back & fully caffeinated…1st day was a blast!
The first day of the Great Coffee Celebration was filled with aromas, flavors, and smiles, with our amazing coffee lovers enjoying every moment of the day.
The great coffee party of Athens kicked off in style, as expected! Thousands of coffee lovers savored their favorite brands, sampled unique brews, and discovered high-quality organic blends. Rare coffee varieties from around the world stole the spotlight, while the Coffee Talks offered expert insights into the magical world of coffee.
The first day of the Athens Coffee Festival concluded with an unforgettable scent of success. Professionals from the industry, including café owners, managers, and baristas from all over Greece, flocked to Technopolis, exploring a vast range of specialty coffees at the exhibitors‘ booths. They also learned about the latest equipment and techniques dominating the market. Discussions with exhibitors about the latest trends in espresso machines provided plenty of ideas for upgrading their businesses.
In a festive atmosphere, exhibitors showcased their products while baristas offered fine quality coffees of all kinds: espresso, cappuccino, cold brew, Greek, coffee cocktail, nitro and delighted those who tasted them. At the same time, coffee happenings, tastings, super fun competitions, seminars and other unique events that took place at the exhibitors’ stands kept the public’s interest alive! Of course, the “delicious” street food neighborhood also attracted attention, since the options were many and all fantastic… burgers, tortillas, falafel, hot dogs, ice cream and other delicacies.
Workshops, Competitions, tastings and music: The Highlight of the Day!
The Coffee Talks stole the show, with top industry professionals and award-winning baristas sharing their knowledge, capturing the audience’s attention. The discussions and workshops were carried out throughout all three days of the festival, covering a range of exciting topics.
Excitement peaked at the SCA Greece National Roasting Championship, where experienced and emerging baristas competed for the title of Greece’s Master Roaster. The action continues tomorrow, while on Monday, the Master Roaster will be announced in a festive atmosphere.
And while the roasters battled for the title in Hall D10, we enjoyed the finest blends at the Brew Bar, where top baristas prepared high-quality brews for us to taste, featuring coffee from beloved companies.
On the festival’s stage at Technopolis, the music set the tone! The popular DJ & radio host from EnLefko 87.7, Sakis Tsitomenas, enchanted the crowd with his musical selections, while the explosive Penelope Anastassopoulou and her band, “Mama Sings Fire”, along with Ian Stratis, offered us unforgettable musical moments on the first day of the festival!
