19,800 visitors attended Athens Coffee Festival

From September 24 to 26, 19,800 visitors attended Athens Coffee Festival and 100 exhibitors prepared unique varieties of coffee with passion and a smile.

For three days, professionals and coffee aficionados got to know up close top roasteries, were re-introduced to the most important coffee brands and drank excellent quality espresso, cold brew, nitro, filter, cappuccino, latte, and coffee cocktails from experienced and award-winning baristas. At the same time, they traveled with their mind and taste… to Vietnam, Indonesia, Panama, Brazil, Honduras, Guatemala, Kenya, Ethiopia. But above all, they became part of the biggest coffee party in town!

For the 6th consecutive year, ACF welcomed products, trends and ideas from the best companies in the coffee industry. Coffee world champions, coffee experts, executives of multinational companies, roasters, micro-roasters and cupping experts turned the festival into the ultimate meeting place for coffee lovers as well as coffee professionals, offering them the opportunity to exchange opinions, ideas, product experiences.

At the same time, coffee lovers who visited Technopolis, had the opportunity to discover top coffee brands and innovations in the coffee industry at the stands of 100 exhibitors, but also try unique varieties of coffee while listening to top hits by the popular radio producer and DJ, Katerina Psimopoulou.

Seminars, competitions, happenings at the heart of the festival

Innovation, inspiration, information dominated Coffee Masterclasses. 46 Greek and foreign coffee experts presented through speeches, presentations, and panels the trends of the coffee market and exchanged opinions on important issues that concern the coffee industry and its people. The topics covered a wide rage such as training & quality control in coffee chains, the new era in coffee processing, the innovations of Greek roasting equipment companies, digital tools for coffee businesses, the quality of water in coffee brewing, the goals of sample roasting and the power of influencers. The program of the Masterclasses was edited by the team of Snack & Coffee Magazine and the speeches were coordinated by the Editorial Director of the magazine, Eleni Manika.

The main stage of the Athens Coffee Festival became the meeting point for the visitors throughout the day. The rhythm was set by the popular radio producer of Hit 88.9, Katerina Psimopoulou, while the visitors had the opportunity to win coffee gifts from the exhibitors, by taking part in daily competitions. Finally, visitors had the opportunity to dance and sing with the popular bands 48 Hours and The Wedding Singers.
