Athens Coffee Festival: Stronger & safer than ever!Melina Georgousi
Preparations for the 5th Athens Coffee Festival (Technopolis City of Athens, September 26-28) are underway following the “new normal”. Our main goal is for the Festival to be structured around two pillars –namely success and safety.
The new season brings new era in the coffee market. Fresh ideas, innovations and product and service upgrades, which have always been a key issue for industry’s professionals, are now more necessary than ever. ATHENS COFFEE FESTIVAL, the leading festival for the coffee market in Greece, by adapting all the official protocols for the safety and health of exhibitors & visitors, will be the necessary “weapon” for professionals in their efforts to support and strengthen the coffee industry. In this context, FORUM SA, regarding the preparation and operation of the festival, will apply all the official health protocols that have already or will be issued by the government regarding the organization of trade shows and festival in our country.
1,450 people will be able to congregate safely at the same time within the Technopolis grounds in accordance with the National Public Health Organization’s health protocol.
The leading and most influential festival in the market, which has been the most important commercial forum for the professionals of the coffee industry, is expected once again to become a magnet for thousands of them. Despite the unfortunate global situation, the largest and most important companies in the sector are still just as enthusiastic about participating. After all, the new season brings a rather different landscape in the coffee industry: Fresh ideas and innovations, all of them integral ingredients of a new wind blowing through the sector, are now more relevant than ever.
From large coffee supply and production companies to equipment firms to beverage suppliers (coffee, tea, energy drinks, etc.) to specialized e-shops, etc., world-renowned brands as well as Greek companies-industry leaders in the country, will once again be present at the festival.
In addition to coffee professionals, the festival is once again designed to “embrace” consumers interested in the latest coffee trends and developments. This way, trade visitors will have the opportunity to see new and innovative products that will make a difference in their business and help them upgrade their products, while the general public will be given new ideas for domestic use in both drinks and coffee machines, following the pressing, newly-created need to meet for coffee at home.
Finally, NOYNOY Barista’s Gold as ACF’s Grand Sponsor since its inception will continue to support it for the 5th year in a row, demonstrating its confidence in the efforts of the coffee industry to overcome the negative impact of the Covid crisis 19 and highlight its dynamics.
The World Coffee Association Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and its affiliate in Greece have been a loyal ally and partner for the Athens Coffee Festival for years. And this year, their support will be just as dynamic.
“After the reopening of all activities that were suspended and with the sole purpose of protecting all of us, SCA Greece feels this year, more than any other year, the need to co-organize the ACF where our bases for the development and the viability of our industry will be redefined. “
Costas Kalafatas, President of SCA Greece
